Brisbane Airport Community Tours

Community groups are invited to take a guided bus tour of Brisbane Airport. These tours focus on the current infrastructure projects taking place, future expansion plans, and general airport operations. Tour groups visit the Acacia Street ‘Plane Spotters’ area, the Domestic Terminal precinct, the International Terminal, the business precinct and aircraft maintenance areas.

 

Recommended for: Adults

Minimum tour group: 10

Maximum tour group: 60 (or as many as your bus will allow)

Time required: Approx. 1hour

Availability: Weekdays between 9am and 5pm (subject to the availability of our tour guide). All tours must be booked in advance.

Cost: Free

Special requirements: Groups must bring their own bus

Additional information: We are only able to accommodate one bus load of guests at a time. Guests do not leave the bus during these tours.

High School Tours

Year 11 and 12 students are invited to visit the International Terminal for a terminal tour. While security restrictions prevent us from showing groups through the secure area, your group will be met by a BAC staff member, who will explain how the terminal works, the kinds of careers that are available at Brisbane Airport, and the roles of the various agencies and businesses. This tour is ideal for high school tourism or business students.

 

Minimum tour group: 10

Maximum tour group: 30

Time required: Approx. 45 mins

Availability: Weekdays between 9am and 5pm (subject to the availability of our tour guide). All tours must be booked in advance.

Cost: Free

Additional information: Groups travelling in school buses are requested to discuss bus parking arrangements with our Community Relations Officer at the time of booking.

 

We are unable to offer tours for year eight, nine and 10 students at this time. However teachers may like to do a self-guided tour of the International Terminal.

Primary School Tours

BAC is currently unable to offer guided tours for primary school students. We do offer resources for teachers wishing to bring groups of students to Brisbane Airport. You will find a link below to our student ‘passports’. Students visiting the airport on their school bus can visit four locations around the airport and are asked to answer questions at each location.
