People & Culture
At BAC we believe the tie separates the head from the heart because we are more concerned about the quality of the outcome and the relationship rather than bureaucracy and red tape. A less formal environment is a happier and more productive workplace .
We regard our staff, tenants and stakeholders as partners who share the satisfaction of working in a fast moving and stimulating industry in the best city in the world.
Established in 1997, Brisbane Airport Corporation is a dynamic and visionary organisation. Being voted among the top 25 airports across the
globe by travellers in the 2010 Skytrax World Airport Awards and receiving other International awards is proof of how we conduct our business and provide a stimulus for employment and the commercial development of Queensland.
From the top down, BAC subscribes to and practices the highest standards of staff development. By any measure we are a small team, with a work force of just over 200, yet we are one of Queensland's largest companies with an estimated enterprise value of over $4 billion.
Our dynamic and highly motivated team enables us to focus on the strategic delivery of services and products whilst offering our people a fun and challenging work environment.
BAC is now recruiting to enhance its existing NPR Project Team to deliver the Phase 1 works. All Phase 1 works are programmed to be complete by late 2014.

I started work at Brisbane Airport 18 years ago and have been with Brisbane Airport Corporation since it's inception in 1997. I have seen many exciting changes to the airport landscape over that time. My career with BAC has been very fun, challenging and rewarding. My latest role as Corporate Partnership Manager encompasses managing the Sponsorship Portfolio including our two major partnerships with The Royal Flying Doctors Service and the Brisbane Roar Football Club.
I also manage all the events for BAC at Brisbane Airport and had the pleasure of being involved with the official opening of the International Terminal, the launch of Virgin Blue, the Qantas A380 and many other wonderful events over the past 12 years. I’ve loved that at BAC I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles enabling me to progress my career and profile within the industry. Brisbane Airport is a dynamic and exciting place, full of opportunities.

Peter Dunlop - Airside Operations Manager

I have been with BAC since September 2008 located at the Airside Operations Centre. I have been involved with many aspects of aviation since leaving school - from building aircraft and aircraft components to technical support and sales of aircraft. Prior to joining BAC I worked with QantasLink, so after 13 years with the airlines it's great to be learning more about aviation from another perspective and providing them with a safe operating environment on our runways and taxiways here in Brisbane. The BAC Airside Operations Centre has the primary responsibility for ensuring and constantly improving safety standards and regulatory compliance within the boundaries of Brisbane International and Domestic airport.
BAC is a fantastic place to work as everyday operations can bring a new set of challenges to the table and you get to meet someone new every day. As in all parts of the Aviation industry, change is the biggest factor. To stay ahead of the game and be competitive you must be constantly changing to meet the needs of your customers and the regulations, looking at new ways of doing things and smarter ways as to how you go about your business. If you don't like change - aviation is the wrong industry to be involved with! |
Helen Clarke - Environment Manager

I came to work at Brisbane Airport Corporation after completing a degree in Environmental Engineering. I can say that since starting there has never been two days the same! It is exciting to work in an environment which provides such a variety of issues to consider.
Environmental management and sustainability are key to managing and developing Brisbane Airport. It is truly satisfying to be able to influence and contribute to sustainable outcomes, be that for water and energy efficiency or improving management of the surrounding natural environment. |
