Brisbane Airport Ambassadors


The Brisbane Airport Ambassadors are a very dedicated team of volunteers who donate their time to assist all passengers and visitors to Brisbane International and Domestic Airport with the aim of making the traveller’s experience a pleasant one.
The Brisbane Airport Ambassador's role is to roam all levels of the International Terminal and to operate the Visitor Information Centre at the Domestic Terminal.
Ambassadors need to be able to:
- Work in a team
- Show empathy to people from a variety of cultures and countries, the young, elderly and non-English speakers
- Have an outgoing, friendly personality
- Possess good communication skills
- Be reliable and dedicated to the program
- Perform the physical aspects of the role
- Be an Australian resident
- Have a good knowledge of Brisbane City, South East Queensland and Australian geography
The Ambassadors are required to work at least one 4 hour shift per week and commit to 12 months with the Program.
Rostered hours are from 0700 -1100 daily at Brisbane International Terminal and 0700-1100, 1100 - 1445 weekdays and 0830 – 1230 weekends at the Domestic Terminal.
You will find them taking time to talk to and assist travellers and the public by providing information about airport services, helping with ground transport, suggesting local attractions for visitors, and providing similar assistance wherever possible.

The Program is an initiative of Southern Queensland Tourism Pty Ltd and Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Ltd and holds Visitor Information Centre accreditation with Tourism Queensland.
