Disabled Access
Brisbane Airport Corporation aims to provide facilities that are accessible by all members of the community, including people with disabilities.
This commitment is achieved, in part, by incorporating the requirements of Building Code of Australia regulations and applicable Australian Standards into the Airport Building Approval process. In addition, access consultants are engaged for major terminal upgrade projects to ensure inclusive access is provided in and around terminal buildings and car parks. BAC also works closely with representative groups to ensure that Airport developments meet the needs and expectations of all travellers.
Although most airlines are able to assist passengers to and from their aircraft and through the border agencies process, it is important that passengers advise their airline in advance if any assistance is required.
This proactive, collaborative approach to meeting the needs of people with disabilities helps to ensure an inclusive and accessible environment is provided for all visitors to Brisbane Airport.
