Major road and car park changes

Major road and car park changes at Brisbane Airport – from 3 December 2009

The way you access Brisbane Airport changed in December 2009 with the completion of Brisbane Airport Corporation’s Northern Access Road Project. For more than two years work had been progressing to the west of Airport Drive to deliver a new road system that now provides a second entry and exit to Brisbane Airport.

Two major roads and a number of link roads and bridges have been delivered by the Northern Access Road Project. These major roads are:

  • Moreton Drive – linking the Gateway Motorway to the International and Domestic Terminals. Named after Moreton Bay, this major road gives motorists travelling from the north or south on the Gateway Motorway access (via exit 108) to the International and Domestic Terminals.
  • Nancy-Bird Way – linking Moreton Drive to the International Terminal. Named after legendary aviatrix Nancy-Bird Walton, this road links Moreton Drive to the International Terminal.
