Access and car park changes at the Domestic Terminal

Domestic Terminal Precinct – Major Changes

The opening of Moreton Drive will result in a significant change to the way that all vehicles enter the Domestic Terminal precinct and its car parks.

Arriving at the Domestic Terminal

From December 3, a large proportion of traffic will arrive at the Domestic Terminal precinct via Moreton Drive, moving into the precinct through a new signalised intersection with Dryandra Road. Traffic coming to the Domestic Terminal from Airport Drive will arrive via Dryandra Road, turning right into the precinct at the signalised intersection. Signage will direct motorists to the correct lanes to access public car parks, car rental returns and pick up/drop off area.

Access to PARKSHORT car parking from 15 April 2010

Construction of a new multi-level car park has commenced. Once complete, the car park will provide around 5,000 new undercover car parks bringing the total number of car park spaces within the Domestic Terminal precinct to around 9,000.

The new multi-level car park is being constructed on the existing open-air PARKSHORT  parking area that is located between the Domestic Terminal and the current long-term multi-level car park. As such, PARKSHORT  parking at the Domestic Terminal has been relocated for the duration of construction.

A new PARKSHORT  (up to 4 hours) car park, best for Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Tiger Airways and other regional airlines, has opened at the southern end of the Domestic Terminal. Access to this car park is via Chloris Street, off Airport Drive.

A second new PARKSHORT  car park, best for Qantas and QantasLink, has also opened at the nothern end of the Domestic Terminal. Access to this car park is via Dryandra Road, off either Moreton Drive or Airport Drive.

Visit Brisbane Airport Parking for more information about car parking options at the Domestic Terminal.
