Our Team

Shane is a Senior Property Development Manager within Brisbane Airport Corporation’s Commercial group. The property team is tasked with developing the organisation's non-aeronautical land holdings, of which Shane has been a member for the last 18 years. 

His experience includes the development of new projects across the commercial, industrial, retail, and aviation sectors. With over 28 years of experience in the property development industry, Shane has a proven track record of successfully delivering numerous property projects across South East Queensland.

This experience transcends total project lifespan including precinct planning, land delivery, concept design, delivery and handover.

Shane adopts a relationship-based philosophy for the delivery of his projects, with a focus on ensuring the end product is of a high quality, is sustainable and also commercially viable. Stakeholder engagement is also a key focus that ensures the clients are engaged throughout the design and delivery process. It is this philosophy that has ensured successful long-term partnerships have been established and maintained with all project stakeholders over many years. 

David has more than 15 years’ experience leading some of Australia’s largest infrastructure portfolios across both private and government sectors. 

Before joining Brisbane Airport Corporation he focused on unlocking the value of greenfield sites for Port of Brisbane, resetting the precinct vision and spearheading the strategy and rezoning activities. 

As the Group Manager of Planning for North Queensland Bulk Ports, David managed the planning of the $1 billion+ expansions of the Port of Abbot Point and the Port of Hay Point. 

In 2021, David was named Airport Council International’s Asia Pacific Young Executive of the Year. He has also served on the Board of Infrastructure Association of Queensland and has an ongoing interest in the Committee for Brisbane. 

David is a graduate of Planning and has Master degrees in both Property Development and Finance. 

Richard's role as a Commercial Delivery Manager at Brisbane Airport Corporation oversees the delivery all capital works projects within the Commercial portfolio.

Prior to joining the organisation in 2022, he was the State Director of Project and Development Services for Cushman & Wakefield.

Richard has been responsible for the delivery of a broad range of significant projects, national roll outs, capital works programs and gained valuable experience across a variety of sectors operating on behalf of Federal Government entities, corporate clients and managed trusts. 

David Paice is a Project Manager within Brisbane Airport Corporation’s Commercial Property team responsible for managing the design and construction of commercial and industrial building projects which can exceed $120m.

David has a BSc in Construction Management (Hons) and has extensive experience on both the contractor and client side which has afforded him with a strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle of a project as well as expertise in all forms of contract management, design management as well was full financial management of a project. 

David also has a 16-year professional international sporting background which has allowed him to work collaboratively within high performing teams which will help to achieve the best possible outcomes for each project. 

Emil is a multi-skilled and qualified property development and construction project management professional with a solid background in most industry sectors.

He has over 15 years’ experience in the industry and during this time has developed the expertise to lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams and contractors throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.

During this time, Emil has taken the lead throughout the front end and construction phase of projects, accumulating an advanced technical acumen with a firm understanding of effective processes and systems.

Alpa is a Project Manager within Brisbane Airport Corporation's property development team. She has more than 18 years of experience in the construction industry with roles in project management, architecture, design management and construction coordination. Her breadth of experience spans multiple sectors including health, education, residential and specialised housing.

Alpa has demonstrated strong leadership skills and stakeholder management in addition to her risk management and communications approach.

With a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a master’s degree in construction project management, Alpa has a strong grounding in both the design and project management functions of the construction industry.

Natalie possesses a strong understanding of the retail and commercial property industry across Queensland and specifically at Brisbane Airport. She has managed commercial and retail portfolios across both the Domestic and International Terminals, along with the Skygate retail precinct.
Natalie began her career as a valuer, with a Bachelor of Commerce (Land Economics) and Masters in Applied Finance, before moving into asset management.

She has frontline and strategic management experience across all asset classes and worked for more than a decade with major developer Stockland, including six years leading the Queensland retail team. As Commercial Property Manager, Natalie oversees the management of all property assets in the Airport precinct. 
Natalie was awarded the Property Council of Australia’s Future Leader of the Year Award in 2011 and the NAWIC NSW International Women’s Day Scholarship in 2011.
 

Sandy is part of the Property Management team, who are responsible for managing a portfolio of industrial, commercial, retail, and special purpose properties. 

Sandy has more than 13 years of experience managing properties across Brisbane’s commercial and retail sectors. With a strong focus on building relationships across the property spectrum, Sandy has a proven track record of engagement with property owners, tenants and key stakeholders. Sandy has worked across the whole property management lifecycle from attracting and retaining tenants to managing lease renewals and terminations. She is an accomplished property marketer, delivering increased leasing activity and revenue generation and practised in all areas of lease administration from document drafting to regulatory compliance.  

Sandy has experience resolving tenant disputes, mitigating potential conflicts and maintaining a positive leasing environment. Sandy has tertiary qualifications in Travel Sales and Business Management.

Ben is part of the Property Management team, who are responsible for managing a portfolio of industrial, commercial, retail, and special purpose properties. 

Ben is a passionate real estate specialist with experience in the property management and airport sectors. He worked in both the residential and community housing sectors for more than three years. with portfolios exceeding 200 properties. He is adept at client management, revenue generation and leasing.

Ben worked in Customer Experience and Management at Adelaide Airport for three years where he oversaw landside operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has a Bachelor of Finance and Economics from Flinders University.
 

Jay is responsible for all Leasing transactions and Retail Developments in the International and Domestic Terminals as well as the Skygate Retail Precinct at Brisbane Airport Corporation.

This involves the management of current lease expiries, the development of leasing strategies, managing external agents, retail master planning and delivering retail developments to capture future opportunities, grow income and sales, as well as improve customer experience across Brisbane Airport's entire retail portfolio.

Jay been working in the Real Estate Industry for over 20 years and worked across several disciplines, but primarily in Retail. Jay has a deep understanding of retail assets and their life cycles as well as a comprehensive understanding of many other asset classes, including commercial, industrial, education, government, telecommunications and the infrastructure and aviation industry.

Jay has worked in most major property markets in Australia and is known for having a strong commercial acumen and analytical skills with key strengths in negotiation, retail master planning, financial analysis, feasibility studies, plus developing and delivering value add retail asset strategies.
