Being available for the local community is the foundation for all Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) engagement activities.
BAC prides itself on providing a range of different forums for members of the local community to connect and to ask questions directly to the team about airport matters of interest to them including airport developments, aircraft noise, major projects and airport operations.
BAC team members are available to provide presentations to any community, education group or organisation.
These presentations give community members an opportunity to learn about Brisbane Airport and chat directly with the BAC team.
For more information or to request a presentation to your group contact Brisbane Airport here.
BAC is proud to participate in and support local cultural and community activities that help make South East Queensland one of the world’s great places to live, work and visit.
Every year BAC staff set up and man information stands at local fairs and festivals to bring the airport to the community. We can be found at the Bulimba, Morningside, Nundah, Racecourse Road and Teneriffe street festivals.
At these festivals and fairs we answer questions on everything ranging from the new flight paths, ground transport to our artist in residence program.
The Brisbane Airport Area Round (BAART) was established in 2009 and meets twice a year. The BAART is a planning coordination forum aimed at fostering high level strategic discussions between Brisbane Airport Corporation and the three tiers of Government.
The primary objective of the BAART is to improve the coordination of planning for the airport site and surrounding areas. The BAART is chaired and administered by BAC. Current member agencies include
- Commonwealth, Department of Investment, Transport, Regional Development, Culture and the Airports (DITRDCA)
- Air Services Australia
