At Brisbane Airport, the pick-up and drop-off kerbside zone is strictly for drivers who have a passenger ready to be dropped-off or picked-up immediately. If the passenger is not there waiting for you, you will be asked to move on by a Kerbside Officer. If you have been asked to move on, the best option is to park and wait in our short term car park or designated waiting area until your passenger has arrived and is ready for collection. For other suggestions on where to wait, click here.
This is a safer and more convenient way to meet your passenger, than driving in circles around Brisbane Airport waiting for them to touch down.
If you want to greet your family and friends inside the Terminal or extend your goodbye we recommend parking in our short-term car park to make airport pickup and drop off as simple as possible. The cheapest parking rates are available online, where you’ll pay just $5* per hour for up to four hours of parking.
Domestic Terminal parking is a short stroll from check-in and baggage claim, so you’ll even have time for a coffee while you wait.
If you’re picking up a loved one and arrive early, you can wait in the Pick Up Waiting Area for up to 30 minutes, free of charge. Have your passenger text or call you when they arrive at the pick-up and drop-off and you can drive back around to the bay and pick them up on your way out. Simple as that!
There are six dedicated accessible parking spaces for passenger pick-up and drop-off underneath the Skywalk. Any vehicles using this space must display a valid Disability Parking Permit as fines apply for misuse.
Additionally, two dedicated spaces are available in the limousine and rideshare road, which is closer to the Terminal. These spaces need to be pre-booked at least 24 hours in advance. You can book these spaces by calling +61 7 3406 3261, Monday – Friday between 8:00am-3:45pm. Please note, this office is closed on weekends and public holidays.
