Prohibited Items
There are strict guidelines around what can and can’t be carried in your luggage because they pose significant aviation safety risks.
Examples of what cannot be carried onto the plane include:
- Axes
- Metal Cutlery
- Razors
- Scalpels
- Weapons

If in doubt about whether an item is prohibited, check with your airline or risk losing it. All items that are confiscated are destroyed, and will not be returned or forwarded to the owner.
Dangerous Goods
Passengers are restricted from carrying dangerous goods or substances on board an aircraft when they are deemed to pose a risk to the health, safety, property or environment.
These include:
- Explosives
- Radioactive materials
- Flammable liquids
- Dangerous or volatile chemicals
- Strong acids
- Compressed gases
- Poisons
- Aerosols
- Lithium Batteries
