If you are flying out of Brisbane, there may be quantity limits for your destination, and any stops on your way. If you do have a stop enroute, check with the retail staff if there are any restrictions.

Yes. When you are flying back into Australia, stick to Australia's duty free allowances. If you surpass the allowable amounts, you will have to pay duty before entering.
Not for most products, however there are restrictions on what & how much you can purchase. If you are under 18 years old, the limit is AUD450 & there are no duty-free concessions on tobacco or alcohol.
Families coming back to Australia on the same flight or voyage may combine (pool) their individual duty free concession limits. To do this, families must stay together when going through Customs clearance. A family includes a person and his or her de facto partner (including same-sex couples) and any of their children under 18 years of age; or a husband and wife, and any of their children.
International travellers (including Australians) might be able to claim a GST (Goods and Services Tax) and WET (Wine Equalisation Tax) refund for some goods bought in Australia that you then take out of the country with you on a plane or ship. Duty free items can be found here.
