Taxis are available 24/7 from sheltered ranks right outside the Domestic and International Terminals. During peak times, Kerbside Officers are on hand to assist.
- At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in the front of the Terminal building.
- At the International Terminal, you will find the cab rank in front of the Terminal on the Level 2 Arrivals Road, through the doors and out to the left.

Fare estimate
Passengers can expect to pay $45 - $55 (one way for a trip from the airport to Brisbane City). Outside of peak periods, it is approximately a 20 minute drive from the airport to the city.

Fees and tolls
Please note there is a fee of $4.54 added to any fares collected from the airport. Remember that toll road fees are in addition to any cab fare and are the responsibility of the passenger.
The Airtrain is a quick and easy option for getting to and from the airport. Travelling between the Brisbane Airport and Brisbane City takes just 20 minutes. Airtrain travels express to the Gold Coast, linking to the G:link tram for travel to Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast beaches.
Train services run every 15 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes off-peak periods. Airtrain also connects into the Queensland Rail suburban network.
To use this service, book your ticket on the Airtrain website. Purchase tickets on arrival at the Airtrain Station, travel using go card or contactless debit or credit card.

Finding the Airtrain Station
- At the International Terminal: take the travellator or lift to Level 3 of the Terminal building and follow the signs to the station.
- From the Domestic Terminal: make your way out to the front of the building and take the Skywalk across to the station.
Airtrain offers and discounts
Tickets between Brisbane Airport and Brisbane City stations are $10.95 for adults and FREE* for children (14 years and under). *T&Cs apply.
Tickets to any other train station in South East Queensland network are $11.45 for adults and $0.50 for children (14 years and under).
Airtrain and tram, which is a combined service with the G:link tram, are $11.95 for adults and $1.00 for children (14 years and under).
These fares are valid for travel between 5 August 2024 and 9 February 2025.
Terminal Transfers by Airtrain
Airtrain also offers a transfer service between the International and Domestic Terminals for a fee of $5.10. Transfer time is 5 minutes.

Simply order your rideshare using your preferred app and follow the signs to the designated Rideshare Booking areas to meet with your driver.
International Terminal
From Level 2, take the lift or escalator down to Level 1, follow the Rideshare Booking signs towards the open air car park on the left as you exit the Terminal building (towards the city). You can also follow the map in your rideshare app to the pick up location.
Domestic Terminal
Uber & Rideshare pick up is on the central road between taxi pick up and passenger pick up and drop off, either side of the Skywalk. Upon exiting the Terminal, cross two crossings to find it. View the location on a map.
What does it cost?
You can use Uber’s fare estimator or your rideshare app to work out the cost of your trip. Please note that a fee of $4.54 is added to your fare if you’re using a Rideshare service from the airport.

Door to Door Shuttle Bus: Con-x-ion
If you’re looking for a door to door transfer to and from Brisbane Airport, consider using the Con-x-ion shuttle bus transfer service.
Con-x-ion operates from both Terminals with a pick up and drop off service that goes door-to-door to dozens of locations around Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the sales kiosk at each Terminal. To book visit the Con-X-ion website.
Where to find Con-x-ion?
- International Terminal: Meet your transfer at the Visitor Information desk in the International Terminal.
- Domestic Terminal: Meet your transfer outside on the forecourt towards the Virgin end of the Terminal.

Brisbane City Council operates a bus service within the airport precinct. You’ll need to make your way from either Terminal to the Skygate Centre, where bus route 590 runs seven days a week.
Catch the bus to the rail network at the Toombul Interchange for a range of public transport options to the city, or other Brisbane suburbs. For more information, maps and timetables, visit the Translink website.
Within the airport precinct, there are a mix of shared pedestrian and cycle paths, as well as shared roadways where cycling is permitted, except where signed otherwise. Bicycle racks
You can store your bike at Brisbane Airport at the bicycle racks available at the Terminal car parks. Bicycle rack locations are as follows:
- International Terminal car park: take the lift to level 5, you will find the bicycle rack adjacent to the lifts.
- Domestic Terminal car park: Level 1 of the P1 car park, near the lifts.
